Jenessa makes a proclaimation

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

Before going off to sleep tonight Boey looked at Mommy and said, “This Tumor messed with the wrong Boey! It got all comfortable inside my head and then it made a big mistake and we found out!!” Her sassiness will definitely help her on this journey.

I’m Fighting Mommy

Monday, January 30th, 2006

Boey had just woke up the day after her very first surgery to remove some of the tumor and could barely move her neck. She was so sore, and so scared. Up until this time, she was ok with everything, showered with gifts and pretty much distracted from the whole reality of everything. I cuddled up with her in her hospital bed and we held eachother and I was trying to figure out what was going on with her neck, and comforting her. Telling her how she is my inspiration and my hero. She looked at me and said in a quiet voice but very serious”I’m fighting mommy, I’m fighting as hard as I can”. My baby will not go down without a fight, and this tumor really did mess with the wrong Boey.

All Emotional

“Mom, why are you getting so emotional? Hey Dad!! Mom’s getting all emotional again, could you come take care of this?”

Pediatrician

Thursday, January 26th, 2006

Met with Pediatrician. She said that Jenessa looks good and we should not worry. There have been no other symptoms to indicate anything wrong. She has good energy. Just schedule with a Ear/nose/throat doctor. I feel relieved.

Another day another ER.

Wednesday, January 25th, 2006

Day went along the same as usual but at bedtime again Jenessa got a nosebleed and spit out a small piece of meat. It looked like gristle you would pick out of your teeth after a BBQ. So we went to A different ER. They also said everything looked fine, don’t worry. Fat chance. Being married for 8 years I have learned when to sit back and let my wife be aggressive so I let her. I figured the doctors were or should be trained in how to handle it. If not OH Well. I still was believing the doc when he said everything looked fine but he was very helpful and complied with Rachel’s wishes to get an Xray to try to find out where this stuff came from. No answers yet, just reassurances.
