WE DON’T WANT TO LEAVE YOU HANGING ANOTHER SECOND, SO FOR NOW WE WILL TELL YOU THAT GOD HAS SHOWN THE DOCTORS WHO TRULY IS BOEY’S HEALER AND KING!! PRAISE THE LORD!! ALL GLORY TO OUR KING!!! THE SAME DOCTOR WHO for all practical intents believes faith can bring comfort but has no power SAID TODAY “I WON’T PRETEND THERE ISN’T SOME DIVINE INTERVENTION HERE”!! DO YOU ALL REALIZE HOW HUGE THIS IS??????????? WE NEVER GAVE UP AND BOEY’S SCANS SAID THAT SOME OF THEIR TUMORS ARE GONE AND OVERALL DECREASEMENT FROM LAST TIME WITHOUT A SINGLE DROP OF TREATMENT IN THREE MONTHS!! THE NURSES AND DOCTORS HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE!!! THEY GAVE OUR BABY “close to 0%” PREPARING US FOR THE WORST, THEY BASICALLY HAVE WRITTEN HER OFF BUT GOD HAS SPOKEN!! THEY DON’T HAVE AN EXPLANATION (MOSTLY ALL CHILDREN’S RECURRING RHABDO IS RESISTANT TO TREATMENT AND HERS IS MOSTLY GONE WITHOUT any treatment)!! WE ARE ELATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WE WILL BE BACK WHEN WE HAVE ALL GOTTEN SOME SLEEP. OUR EYES ARE ALL RED AND PUFFY FROM CRYING TEARS OF JOY ALL DAY!! WHATEVER YOU ARE EXPERIENCING AT THIS VERY MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE, WHATEVER KIND OF PAIN YOU ARE IN, CAST YOUR CARES UPON HIM AND TRUST IN HIM FOR YOUR COMPLETE HEALING!! HER DOCTORS AND NURSES AT THIS VERY MOMENT ARE CALLING IT BOEY’S MIRACLE AND ARE IN AWE OF GOD’S AWESOME HEALING POWER. WE CAN’T WAIT TO TELL YOU THE REST!!! WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO THANK ALL OF YOU PRAYER WARRIORS ENOUGH FOR YOUR DEDICATION IN BOMBARDING HEAVEN FOR OUR LITTLE WARRIOR!!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! BLESS YOU ALL ..BE BACK IN A FEW HOURS:)

Senator Jack Reed called to thank Boey for all her advocacy and promoting of the Conquer Childhood Cancer Act Bill S.911. Although the bill wasn’t mentioned on the show, we are very grateful to the national exposure towards pediatric cancer awareness and the 3 million hits Boey’s site has had since the show aired. Boey was honored that the Senator who created this bill had called her to thank her, it was really awesome. We are so proud of her. This bill has very special meaning to her. When her cancer came back, she was so depressed and scared she wanted to die and give up. Three days later after covering her in prayer, she came out of her depression with full on Boey tude and said “I kicked it’s butt once, I can do it AGAIN, let’s find a cure already so my friends and I don’t have to suffer”! When she found out about this bill she took it on as one of her biggest goals in life, we have no doubt this bill will be signed very soon. This bill will affect our nations children(it’s not limited to Oregon). Although pediatric cancer is the #1 disease killer of our children, it is severely underfunded. This bill will provide 150$ million towards the research these children so desperately need. You can find out more about the bill and Senator Jack Reed here, please take a couple minutes to write (it’s all pretexted to save time) your senator and house representatives (Sen Smith in Oregon, Hooley in Corvallis) and ask them to cosponsor this bill. Boey has been reading the awesome uplifting encouraging words from so many wonderful people around the world. She is blown away by the overwhelming amount of love and prayers. She wants everyone to remember to pray for her special warrior friends also.

We can’t thank you enough for surrounding her in love and prayers during this time. Boey was so excited to visit some very special local friends yesterday. Both of these children she visited are going through the same cancer treatments as Boey. They all shared a very special bond, the kind of connection where words don’t necessarily have to be shared because they are fighting the same fight. All of these very brave and amazing warriors truly understand on a very deep level everything the other is going through.

Boey is truly cherishing every moment of every day. She has the best big brothers in the world who love her more than anything. We have never enjoyed life more. We are all finally together as a family watching Boey make up all those lost days of her childhood. Life could not be any better. Her next scans are Oct 25th. She hasn’t had any chemo in over two months, so these next scans are going to be the final factor in deciding what to do next. We know the results we’ll be miraculous, she’s had absolutely no symptoms and the doctors are very confused at how well she’s doing. I want to encourage all of you parents that are going through this nightmare, to NEVER GIVE UP and to never accept the negative prognosis from the doctors. We didn’t and never will. Boey has received her healing, and we are standing on God’s word for complete victory. We will NEVER give up! Rob and I are still working on the other half of the post regarding the awesome phone call from Boey’s doctor and the update on her treatments.Thank you for all your love and support, it means everything to us.

Hi everyone. So much to say, so fasten your seat belts!! To say our entire family was excited about Sunday night is an understatement!! Every five minutes, Boey would ask “how many more minutes mom”? LOL!! We began our premiere night with Senator Wyden at our side at the Legend Homes viewing party. We were so bummed we couldn’t stay longer! It was so awesome to finally see the REAL heros that labored looooooong hours on our home!! Our home was definitely made with an overwhelming amount of love, we could feel the love in the room while we were there!! I was standing there watching each one of my family members speak to the crowd with such pride. Enduring the last 22 months has been a nightmare for our family, but here we were still standing stronger than ever surrounded by the love of so many. It’s so awesome how in the midst of such a horrid disease, we are covered in so many blessings, thank you will never be enough. Boey went up to the podium with her warrior friend Sen Wyden to speak to the crowd. Sen. Wyden spoke about the Conqer Childhood Cancer Act Bill S.911 and how Boey’s made such a HUGE impact on Congress. When I say HUGE, I mean HUUUUUUUGE!! There were 7 senators signed on to the bill before Sen. Wyden spoke about Boey’s battle before Congress in Washington D.C on June 4th, 2007. Now there are 41 senators signed on!!! Thank you to all those that wrote their state senators on behalf of Boey and all her warrior friends!

House bill is HR 1553 Conquer Childhood Cancer Act 2007 Sponsor: Rep. Deborah Pryce (Ohio) There are 150 cosponsors on the House bill (out of 435 members). It’s in the House Subcommittee on Health

Senate bill is S.911 Conquer Childhood Cancer Act 2007 Sponsor: Jack Reed (Rhode Island) 41 cosponsors (there were only 7 before Ron signed on) It’s in the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (Edward Kennedy is the Chair of the committee and he’s also a cosigner on the bill)

Oregonians need to call Senator Smith (503-326-3386) and urge him to cosponsor the bill. Also, they need to contact House Rep. Darlene Hooley if they’re in her district - especially because she represents Corvallis! (the 5th Congressional District) at 503-557-1324 and House Rep. Greg Walden in the 2nd Congressional District (Central/Eastern Oregon) at 541-389-4408. Also call House Rep. Peter DeFazio (4th Congressional District) at 541-465-6752.

Then tell everyone to call their own Senators/House members in their own states. They can find phone numbers at www.senate.gov or www.house.gov.

To all of you that attended the Legend Homes party, we can never thank you enough for all you’ve done. We are so honored and blessed that you are a part of our baby girl’s miracle.

We left from the Alumni Center in a Limo(huge thank you to The Limo-Scene for donating their services)to the Nazarene Church and once we got there, we were blown away. The awesome hardworking girls Sandi Sue, Kim and crew at Starbucks, the wonderful people at the Nazarene, our heart of gold friend Susie Foster, and ALL OF THE AMAZING AND WONDERFUL volunteers(all of the dedicated “Boey booth” volunteers and many others), KidSpirit who were phenomenal, the awesome Cold Stone Creamery and the incredible CJ and staff from Sparrow Clubs truly went out of their way to make it the most memorable night ever!! I hope we didn’t forget anyone, that’s always scary when thanking people. Please forgive us and know we love you all and are so grateful!! There was a red carpet for Boey and our family. Boey looked stunning (pics coming soon, Rick Dancer has a few on his site), she was radiating God’s Glory and his awesome Love the entire night, it was breathtaking. I could go forever about this night, just know how special it was to our family and how much you all touched our hearts.

They could not have chosen a better MC than Rick Dancer! Boey and Rick have a very special connection, she adores him and something tells us Rick feels the same way:). Both of our families know that God has brought us together for a very special purpose. We are beyond blessed by their friendship.

Rick Dancer did a phenomenal show on our family that aired on KEZI at 6:30p.m. It was beautifully done. We definitely needed more than one box of kleenex! We are working on getting Rick’s show posted here.

Once again, both Sen Wyden and Boey got up on stage and I must say, Sen. Wyden blew us away with his speech. He had the entire crowd shouting “BOEY BOEY BOEY BOEY”!! She was so cute up there, just taking it all in with that stunning smile of hers. A very special thank you to Sen. Wyden and his entire staff for attending such a special night for our family.

FINALLY!! The big moment had come!! Boey was about to tell her story on a national level!! It was SOOOOOOOO surreal watching our family on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Boey was laughing and smiling the entire time. I know we’re probably a little biased, but it was our favorite episode ever lol!! Everything from the message that was being told, the demolition, the reaction of the ABC design team, the Doernbecher’s visit, the reveal, OMG it was AMAZING!! We were really hoping they’d show the Sparrows at the end as they walked across the bridge and gave Boey a hug and encouragement(we were all bawling like crazy). It’s only an hour show, and we are grateful for the exposure to help end this hideous evil disease, but there was so much more that we wished everyone could’ve seen(like 5 more hours would’ve covered it lol).

The night ended with a very moving prayer by Rick Dancer, the Pastor and the crowd. It was one amazing night. I wish our family could hug each and everyone of you. Like I said at the end of the program, as soon as our family gets past this nightmare and Boey is done with treatments, look out Corvallis!! Someday soon we are going to do some amazing things to help other families that are struggling. Extreme Corvallis all the way..so be ready to join our team!!! As Boey would say “Just Believe and it can happen”!!
